E' un grandissimo piacere avere la seconda esclusiva video su Rolling Stone Magazine per "Pure".
Siamo chiari fin da subito, al di là del brano, il merito va a Giulia Rizzini (Kartu Studio Fotografico) che ha seguito tutte le parti del video dalla sua ideazione iniziale fino alla chiusura. Una grazie di cuore anche ai bravissimi Giedre Paplaityte e Mindaugas J. Bikauskas che della danza fanno un'arte completa, complessa e strabiliante.

Il giorno in cui abbiamo girato c'era un freddo bestiale. Era Marzo ma sulle Alpi la neve abbondava ancora; il sole, a parte bruciare la vista con il suo riverbero insopportabile non faceva molto di più. I due ballerini erano vestiti così come li vedete, molto poco, meno male che sono lituani e sono abituati, non credo ce l'avrebbero fatta altrimenti. Giulia ed io (che mi sono improvvisato aiuto regia) eravamo imbacuccati dentro i nostri giacconi invernali, tanto per capirci. Abbiamo passato una giornata a seguire lo storyboard che Giulia aveva messo a punto: una pergamena di carta millimetrata con un grafico multicolore che decimo di secondo per decimo di secondo descriveva i momenti del video. Sembravamo più dei geometri che dei videomakers.

Let's be clear from the beginning, beyond the song, the credit goes to Giulia Rizzini (Kartu Photo Studio) who followed up all the parts of the video from its initial conception until closing. A big thank also goes to the talented Giedre Paplaityte and Mindaugas J. Bikauskas who turn dance into a complete, complex and mind-blowing art.


The day we shot it was freezing cold. It was March, but the snow still abounded in the Alps, and the sun, apart from burning the eyes with its unbearable glare, didn't help. The two dancers were dressed as you see them, very light clothes, fortunately they are Lithuanians and they're used to, I don't think someone else could resist. Giulia and I (which acted as assistant director) were wrapped up in our winter coats, just to let you know. We spent a day following the storyboard Julia developed: a scroll of graph paper with a multicolored graphic describing the moments of the video tenth of second after tenth. We looked like engineers more than video makers.
